Use a macaroni style noodle. These are corkscrew noodles and make for a gorgeous final dish.

To make your roux with jalapeño, you want to heat your butter on the stove and toast your jalapeños. Then add in flour to make the base.

Ingredient Tip 3

Always shred your own cheese. Pre-shredded cheese comes with preservatives to help it shay in shape. Shredding your own will be easier to mix and incorporate.

Add in Cheese

Slowly add in the cheese and mix. You want to add it in about 1/2 cup at a time or less to make it easier to mix in.

Salsa Verde

After cheese is mixed in, add your salsa verde and spices. Whisk until it's thoroughly mixed in.
