Ingredients

Three ingredients you need! Red wine vinegar, brown sugar, and of course red onions.

Cooking

You'll want to gently warm your vinegar and sugar on the stove until warm, not boiling. Make sure all sugar is dissolved.

Slice Onions

You want these onions fairly thin. Using a mandolin on a setting of 2 or 3 to get them equally thin, but not too thin or transparent.

Pour and Cover

Place the onions into a jar, pour the vinegar and sugar mixture on top of that.

Seal and Sit

Seal the jar tightly, then let the onions sit on the counter for 30 minutes or a max of 2 hours.

Enjoy!

Keep refrigerated as these do not have a shelf life and must be stored in the fridge. Enjoy within a few weeks.
