Using butter extract adds a depth of that butter flavor. It's a common flavoring you'll find in funfetti items. If you can't find it, you can replace it with vanilla.
To get these extra crispy cookies, I like to add a little bit of crushed graham cracker. It adds a little crunch and a lot of flavor.
Chill the Dough
Chill the dough for 30 minutes minimum. This will also help when you go to roll out the dough.
Cut the Dough
Pick out a fun cookie cutter and cut out shapes. You can do tiny hearts, little circles, rectangles, fun shapes. Whatever you want.
I went with the easy version here and did a store bought can of funfetti frosting. You could also use my small batch buttercream.
To plate for a party, find your favorite platter and fill up with the little cookies. Add a bowl with frosting and serve together!
