Creating something new from scratch can be so rewarding and always makes the recipient of the project so attached to it. DIYs are great for a number of things. You can create something new for your home, an event, or even for gifting. It has a special connection to you since you made it yourself. Many DIY projects can seem intimidating, but really aren't too bad. I recommend starting off with something small, then move up. An important part of DIY projects is to read the instructions multiple times, then purchase what you may need (checking instructions again), and then following each step exactly for the project. One of the biggest mistakes made with DIY is misreading or misunderstanding a step. So, look things up before starting if you're not sure what it means.
